An you thought it was just copper being stolen! Watch your cardboard in NYC!

Found this while looking for folks who buy cardboard..on that note..if anyone can suggest a good company on the east coast..let me know. As my results in looking were an epic failure. But I know where in CA, and TX!

Interesting article an enjoy the read. It's from 2012 but still..interesting.

There is a place in Fayetteville that buys paper from the public. Pratt industries.

Thanks Brandon, will check in to it. Everything I found was either talking about the industry, or to far to make it worthwhile.

    Much appreciated.

I know up here the Ft Wayne Omni Source buys cardboard, don't know prices tho. I do know that they pay well enough that my trash co. that I get junk computers from is actively searching out new places to pick up cardboard commercially, so it must be paying pretty well to branch out another direction, business wise.

Didn't mean to find a connection for Cardboard, but I did, if I can find an outlet for it, it could prove profitable, several local warehouses here that go through a bunch of the stuff, so figured I'd check into making some money off it.

Therecycler..agreed I usually just focus on the ewaste an metal myself, but eh..when opportunity comes knocking you answer the door. I have to do a bit more research as it's a new field for me. We'll see where it leads.

Well, at the store we use to put the bales of cardboard out in the ally and then they started to steal the them. Most of the time the wire would brake and have cardboard all over the ally. Now they stay in the back room until the salvage truck comes. Out here cardboard goes for .02/Lb.

At least at the Walgreens around here they either have controlled compactor units emptied by front loaders, or they put the bales in chain link fences. IDK what cardboard goes for around here, I just see semi flatbeds going down the freeway full of the stuff. I'll only sell cardboard if I ever get a couple gaylords or bales of the stuff. Same with plastic.

When I was doing the retail thing many moons ago, we would bale them, an stick'm to the side of the storeroom till the truck came for them. We never put them outside, not sure if it was cause of theft, or what.
