I checked a couple of links listed on the Amfibi pages and found them to be dead. Has anyone here dealt with any of these businesses recently? I know
    Poly Recovery is still active.

And, as usual, unmarked plastic goes into the landfills.

Most of these companies will not mess with electronic plastic. Very very low grade plastic.

When you say, "unmarked," you mean the lack of a resin code triangle, correct? On less commonly recycled plastics, there's usually a secondary set of characters which applies to industrial output, not what goes in the curbside collection. On the inside of a laptop or a vacuum, for example, there's usually a string of arrows, followed by "PP" or "ABS", for those specific resins, stamped on the inward face of the plastic. I believe recyclers can work with these markings though I haven't explored the topic, across the board. I expect most of us know about this but this seemed the correct thread to over-explain for newcomers.

Very little plastic I deal with has ANY makings on it. Not even the official DEP recycling committee for my state knows what to do with it

Has anyone explored the idea of recycling unmarked plastics, or is the plastics not compatible with standard recycling practices?

I just found plasticsmarkets.org. I can't vouch for the accuracy of any listings but, in terms of its basic utility and level of detail, it's a pretty great resource.PlasticsMarkets.org Homepage

Around here the only plastic they pay money for is water bottles less the cap. They currently pay 50 cents a pound. I never landfill any other plastics. They go in the recycle barrel the city picks up except plastic from appliances and TV's which goes to the scrap yard I sell to along with my shred steel.
