#1 plastic bottles

AZ is not a deposit state. I found a place that pays .30 a pound for #1 plastic bottles. Not bad.

Some guys here in florida only paid 60 dollars a ton. Middlemen of course.

Actually good amount as my friend got 25 a pound only for the same!!
Seems she doesn't bargain better way!

Nice! NH isn't a deposit state either. What kind of an outfit is it, and do they have a minimum? I'd like to find something like that here in NH.

How close are you to maine? I know maine is a deposit starte. just take them across the border. WHen I was a kid in PA my uncle would save all his cans frm the year and drive them up to NY and cash them in.

Wish had someone around my area that would buy plastic, glass, books, etc. All the places here will take most of the stuff but only for free. I remember taking in coke bottles for spending money as a kid in GA. No such thing now.

A start up scrap yard... They buy glass, #1 plastic, Tin cans, auto batteries and alum cans. They offer the best price in town for alum cans .74 lb. They are in the process of moving, when they do it will be a bigger place and I think they are going to start buying other metal. I will see how there prices are when they re open! And no minimum so far...

I had thought about doing that, but found out it's illegal. There was actually some story in the news a little while ago about a couple who owned a recycling place in Maine and were accepting stuff from NH and probably other states. They ended up being prosecuted (at least, I think that's how the story goes - anyone from ME feel free to correct me)

yes that is the way I understand the law. these govt. people never understand business. We spend millions from taxpayers on hiring out of state construction companies to bid on govt jobs who work and live out of state, but then someone wants to bring some bottles and cans from NH and we all go nuts shutting them down. Way to go maine...

Where in AZ?

Hobo, down here in Mesa, AJ, and Tempe we have a few places that pay $0.30/lb of any #1PETE Plastics, not just bottlws.
These are the same people who buy Al cans for $1.00/lb. I figured they were cashing in the cans for deposit out of state, but the PETEs I can't see how they could be cheating since I give them more than bottles ie containers that cherry tomatoes are sold in and other packaging. This also fills up large buckets quickly so I always cut my plastic up before putting into the bucket.

If Arizona is not a CRV state, (Here CRV means California Redemption Value), why are they paying more for it? I get $1.12 for #1 CRV and is $30 to $50 a week, easy money! Something just don't seem right there Hobo, but get it if they are paying more for it!
