AZ is not a deposit state. But I found a place that pays 5 cents a pound for it. Much better than giving it to the city for there recycling program that they charge a monthly fee of $17.12!

holy cow. really? will they take any other grades of glass. even if its less than .05$ a lb i think i could come up with a ton glass pretty quickly with the doors and windows and microwave plates i scrap. Jersey needs to get on the ball.

I dont know much about glass but I am going to go out on the limb and say you cant mix window, door, micrwave plates, etc all together.... i could be wrong though?

Hello everyone;;;
I would do a Goggle search on clesr glass recycling and see what comes up ,, you might have to change the wording to get what you are looking for;;
There are thousands of plases that take glass jars and any CLEAN clear glass ;;;,,.,
It thkes less than half of the energy to use OLD glass to reform it as to using NEW sand to make GLASS...
There is a major GLASS recycler here in the U.S.A. they are in several states and very large ,,,, I willl have to try and find that info again .... or do an goggle on CRT recycling as they do have one plant that recycles CRT tubes.

Here is a decent place to search for recycling centers. You can also list your company there also for free. Looks decent to me.
CMHN Recycling
I am currently getting 0.05$ / lb for flat glass and 0.08$ / lb for bottles and jars.
