    I thought I would bring this up to add a note: don't scrap license plates. There are people that will pay a dollar each for common ones, and more money for those from further away.

    I see people wanting to buy them all the time on CL, but you have to do some searching. Crafters and artists make decent stuff out of these.

    Yet another thing to put in its own bin...

    Indiana has alum. plates now where some states are still stamped tin. I turned my old one over and added a nice vinyl decal and made a plate for the front of my car.

    I tried getting a personalized plate for my truck but in Maine, you can't get a personalized plate for a commercial vehicle.
    People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
