    NZ has no animals that can kill you, no snakes at all & only one spider that can poison you if it bit you.

    I have never heard of someone getting badly hurt from one (or know someone who got bit in the first place...)

    Oh, & no guns 'for protection' either.

    On the other hand, someone walked into the bush & got lost after 60 feet, with a map & GPS... & called in a rescue chopper... idiot.
