collecting san joses scrap
Looks like u found a decent stolen bike..kids dump em there all the time..ive never actually taken one or have I received anything other than cans I found..cant really see any of the other stuff, but the truck sure is full..so how did ya get the bike?
you took grind boxes from skate parks...?
Yeah to me it looks like he decimated two skate parks and then came on here to brag about it. Please tell us different bluemate.
OOPS!! Miss read thread thought he state parks but it was skate parks so please disregard my above post. But I still hope you had permisstion to take that stuff.
Why cant we just assume he was asked to clean up the park and take the stuff.
unfortunetly too many "bad scrappers" on here and out in the world
Ron...I also wish that we could assume that everything people post on here that they find is on the up and up. However, if you looked back at old post you would realize that this is not the case. There are a myriad of previous post where people obtained material by nefarious means and then came on the forum and talked about it. More often than not these people are chastised and berated enough where they don't return. I believe we should out these "bad apples". They are the reason that people don't look at our industry in a positive light. They are also the reason that legislation is being passed to make it harder for scrappers to succeed and become lucrative in this line of work.
That being said...if I seemed to imply that the material might be stolen, it was only because of my initial reaction to the picture (a new looking bike, good wood that looks like it was used to build the skate park). I was simply imploring bluemate to come on here and rectify the situation by explaining that it was acquired legitimately.
personally, i try to say it from the jump when i obtain things with permission, just so its clear and nobody gets the wrong idea or gets confused.
i dont deal with questionable material, but the way its presented here, its unclear. i cant judge, because i dont know the truth, but i wish he would come let us know, or at least explain why he has taken nice looking functional material from a public skate park
We're the renegades of Junk!
Let's not jump to conclusions and assume this was a theft. It's just a picture of some scrap. He could have received a phone call, an email, a response to a CL ad, who knows.
Maybe the city called after a renovation of a couple skate parks and asked him to remove some things.

I don't assume anything, I just looked at thr thread that just said "two skate parks" and a pic. of a truck load of stuff, no explaination. I didn't mean to nor would I ever call someone a thief without knowing the facts to back it up.
its a bmx bike, no matter what i load from work theres always room for my bike and two skateparks to stop at right off the freeway
most recently, i left my orange flag at work and would have had to leave behind this heavy 9footer
yep thats a 13pack
