    Best Scrapping Finds?

What are the best finds you've found scrapping or dumpster diving?

I found a 10x10 metal piece that holds cloth in the air for shade.
    A working Sony Vaoi Laptop.
    Brand new clothes
    $35 in cash.
Brand new pharmaceutical glass jars, beakers, flasks,
    7/325mg Hydrocodone/Tylenol 100 pills
    20 Gallons of Lacquer Thinner.

Can't think of anything else off hand. What about you?

It wasn't scrap but I did find it. I use to own a business where we did DEA drug lab clean outs. Usually meth labs. On clean up the DEA deemed everything in a bedroom contaminated. We drummed everything up and once it got back to the shop I went to sort out the mess. Inside a paint can I fund $6700 in cash. I had to incinerate it since it was considered contaminated hazardous waste according to the DEA. ; )

That's a good idea, always look in the cd/dvd players for a disk, I've found many disks left in them (left a few there myself as well ; )

Even if you don't plug it up, or if it's out of the unit, there's a little pinhole there to stick a straightened paper clip into and open the tray

I think my top finds have been:

-About 2 pallets of working office grade printers, all free
-A large lot of vintage Apple stuff, incredibly cheap
    -Countless tools
    -A working electric chainsaw

I'm still waiting to find cash hidden somewhere, but I'm still hoping
There's nothing more fun and more effective than hitting something repeatedly with a sledgehammer

Car buffer, pressure washer, mongoose bike for usable/sellable items.

Best scrapping items - 6 burner s/s grill. Weighed 277lbs. I was hauling cleanout items from an office building for work. I ended up taking about 100 power bars that sat in the bottom of office partition walls. Took me 8 hrs to break em down. I think they netted 200+ lbs of copper bars and 100+ lbs of alum casings.

$6700? You could have put that money in the washing machine with a couple of towels to decontaminate it.

Oh.. but today I scored 4 car batteries and 2 aluminum toyota wheels from the giveaway pile at a yard sale.

Yard sales are always good for scrap.
