I've been here 53 years and never seen a direct hit, but there is always a first time for everything. Looks like it will be small and well to the west of us. We'll still get some wind and alot of rain. The rain we don't need right now, today is the first day with no rain in about 2 months. Thank you for your comcern and for your prayers.

If you really wanted people to keep a heads up i would say the pan handle is gonna get rocked real good. that storm is skirting the mountains of cuba. thats gonna knock down alot of wind and rain. It then crosses the 90 mile florida straights for a few hours slowly building back up. It passes over the keys and skirts the west coast continuing northwest. depending how far out to sea the Storm hits the warm gulf and explodes and grows. Hurricane tracking is fun but no reason to be raising flags over a fart. Id say by Tuesday Olddudes gonna need to get out his john boat and waders.

Just got donee talking to my folks in Marathon its been raining non stop for 2 days already. Flood plates have been put up along with shutters. Over all looking to be more of a water storm then a wind storm. Hop it doesnt hit during high tide. Lat time that happen was in 98 with george and we had 6 feet of water in one house. If your in the storm path take a page from the people of the Keys. GET READY NOW and dont wait till the power is out.

Prepared, and safe means leaving enough scrap to break down while there is nothing else to do...

Changed paths. Looks like it will be a cat 2 and a direct strike to New Orleans.
