Well, as of last night, I created a new page on my website for fundraisers. If no one minds, would just like to get your quick input to see if I should add or remove anything.
To me, I just want something that is quick and to the point and answers a few questions.

GeorgeB, you have power supplies listed twice on the ewaste itmes list
We're the renegades of Junk!
You have "power supplies with/without cords" and "power supply BOXES with/without cords"... I think that's what filthy is referring to. On that note, my suggestion is to reduce the redundant items on your list. Shorten it. Make it into categories... Do you really need to list "gaming systems" and then list all the different brands? Not really. Looks unprofessional. I recommend you get someone else to proofread it, it's amazing what you can miss while looking over your own writings.
Or you could always just say "anything with a cord or batteries" Then maybe a list of the few items you WONT accept, probably would be much shorter.
Just my 2 cents.
" The host/client keeps all the money collected from the individuals dropping the items off. VIP Recycling simply takes all the electronic items that are donated and recycles them promptly."
make sure thats 100% true you can get in alot of trouble from the BBB if they find out its not.
I am fundraising at schools...it's working quite well. Nice to see ya George!
All of what you see as far as what I take, came directly from the website of the local company. I did that, because just like with scrap metal, I have a ton of stuff listed there, and yet, I still always get asked "do you take this, that or the other".
Plus, never know if your a client an want to sell to someone and all they will accept is power supplies with the cords, etc.
I do agree that just listing "gaming systems" and not the specific brands, could be done better.
Yes this would be 100% true. It would even be discussed with the client, that they need to appoint someone to be on site during the fundraiser to collect all the funds. We would simply handle collecting the items, and placing them on our trucks/trailers.
Nice to see you too Christine...been quite a while. I am glad to hear that your fundraising efforts are doing quite well. You doing yours similar to how I will be doing it, or is a different approach working for you guys?
