Wish me luck this weekend - community yard sales

So this year I'm going to participate in my parents town community yard sale to try and sell some of the stuff I've picked up scrapping.

So far the big stuff I have is:

    Snow blower

    John Deere push mower

    Chipper/Shredder

Yard sweeper ( the kind you pull behind a riding mower)

Exercise bike - real nice like new Mentor Schwinn

Amish built wishing well (those things aren't cheap brand new!!)

    Paddle boat

Bunches of little odds and ends

Hope you sell all of it.

Community yard sales are great. Go drive around town after dinner and see what people throw out they didnt sell even if its not trash night. Our town does it twice a year and you can really rake it in.

$400.00. It has a fish finder and troll motor on it too but it needs a battery.

Last year I loaded my truck up quite a few times that Sunday night afterwards with what didnt sell, so this year I'm hoping for the same along with making my own money on the stuff I picked up and fixed too! *Fingers crossed*

I will get the change Friday and make up some more flyers to pass out too, I'm down to just a few. I think I will try the cards, play around with a stack and see how they come out.

stop by the other sales and let them know you can come by after the sale to remove any metal or electronics when the sale is over.

I thought about that hobo! But, should I offer money, like say if I got a truck load or just give them a flyer and tell them I can come pick any leftovers up?

That's how we got a few truckloads last summer, a small percentage was clothes but those went to the non-profits,

Well I dont think I'm ever participating in this again . Everyone was in a neighborhood that had about 90 out of the 140 houses listed on the list you could buy from the boy scouts and a map to follow with the houses listed.

We hardly saw any activity until the last hour. I was up all night helping my brother and a friend set up and I ate so many donuts and drank so much coffee I never want to see a donut ever again or a garage sale sign I think.

It rained alllllll day to add to the misery. I didnt sell the chipper, the snow blower or the paddle boat

But, I did sell a side by side doored refrigerator I found the week before and was going to keep for myself for $40.00. it was nice, the ice maker in the door was the only thing didnt work, someone bought it for their garage.

I'll throw the items I didnt sell on Craigs list I guess but I'm just afraid of the people who might come if I'm home alone. My 4 dogs would probably lick them to death instead of save me lol.

Some houses on the list never even opened up because of the rain so everyone was concentrated in that one neighborhood most of the day. *kicks rocks*
