I watched them taer down our old football stadium and was wishing I could have all those aluminum bench seats. That stadium sat 75,000 peole.
Played a music job last night at a place where all of the interior handrails were all SS with cables for the picketts. Exterior was all metal siding and much of the skylight assemblies were AL. Good thing I didn't have my sawz-all with me !

1600 Pennsylvania Ave would be my dream scrap destination, but maybe i'll reserve my reasoning for a different forum
I was in the main computer control room for Reuters about 15 years ago after they had a flood. They claimed to have $100 mil invested in there and i would have loved to tear that place up!

i'm waiting for someone to throw up the statue of liberty!! lol
I dont have any pictures of some of the stuff that I want to scrap. However, whenever I am out with my step-dad we are generally working and he sees me looking at some steel, he starts laughing, cause he knows I am thinking how I would move it, process it and how much I could get out of it at the yard.
I mean, I am a dedicated scrapper. So ANY time I see something made of scrap-able material. My mind automatically starts breaking it down into it's simplest parts, even going so far as to how\when I would load it for ease at the scrap yard.
Since I don't have a picture of this, you will have to use your imagination:
The company I just went to work for used to make parts for a company overseas. The base\turret was made of brass. This single piece was 4.750" thick and 42" in diameter. I do not know how much each of them weigh. I do know this. I could not lift one by myself AND they have 8 stacks, with each stack being 12 tall. No matter what percentage I offer the owner, he won't sell them to me!!! I even offered him 85% of scrap value. He says: "No, I better not let them go, we might need them one day". Sigh, it is ULTRA FRUSTRATING. I mean, they haven't made these "turrets" in over 10 years!!!
Anyway. Happy and Safe Scrapping to you all !!!!!!!
This is my state's capital building, look at all that gold foil! Biggest gold finger I've ever seen!

Heres our Parliament building. Its called 'The beehive' because, well, it looks like one.
The Beehive's brown roof is constructed from 20 tonnes of hand-welted and seamed copper. It has developed a naturally weathered appearance
