    sry every one

    some one wanted photos of my hard drives, I spent 4 hours trying to post them and ended up with 3 duplicate posts of the sane 2 boxes, tryed to delete the duplicates but couldnt find any delete button sry. I give up. good night.

    That was probably me, requesting the photos. It's no big deal, just wanted to see what thousands of HDs broken down looks like I've been in the process of breaking down the 60 or 70 I had backed up, finally finished yesterday. Can only imagine the cluster of magnets you've got, wonder if guinness would create an EWaste category for ya Biggest ball of string, rubberbands... why not HD magnets?
    Oh yeah, and the platters... so many platters! Especially if your HDs were SCSI from servers, how many platters per HD? I'm guessing 3?

    got 1 out of a small hd, maybe 8gb, and 4 from a 2tb one I did recently, so i'd say 1 - 4

    the platters and their brilliant reflection would make a cool mirror, stick 'em on your ceiling and you'll see hundreds of reflections of you!

    How about using an old 6'-8' satellite dish and line it with platters and make your own solar reflector?? Don't they make power out of that??
