    Gas locations

Thought this might be a good way to get word out for people who are looking for gas on long island. If anyone knows of any pending deliveries to a gas station maybe they could post the address on this thread and possibly help someone out who is in need. Or post a location that has gas even if there are long lines. I know that the Valero on rte 110 and main street has gas with long lines. Good luck everyone.

Don't really know of any since it's been a horror show. Gassed up full on Sunday using 93 octane, so far it has lasted me this whole week, been curbing any unnecessary travel, been only driving to and from my full time job really, not much else...

Just an update.. Waited on line from 0430 to just now....delivery made last night but owner never showed to open up. Only had a small delivery and was not enough to open pumps. Worried that having so many people on line and running out shortly thereafter would cause major problems. No gas in Farmingdale for those near here. The search will continue....be safe everyone.

For those of us not on bikes......Valero on rt 110 and mainst just got 10,000 gallons one hour ago as did the Delta on main st and Oakwood ave. wait at delta not too bad, about an hour. They have four guys on the pumps and one directing traffic into the station so there's no shenanigans. Both locations in Farmingdale. Be careful though wherever you go a woman was shot in the head during a dispute at a gas station in Suffolk county yesterday.

Blue nice comment. I live in Louisiana and I'm guessing you are one of my fellow citizens that said that we should move instead of living in a hurricane prone area. Disasters can happen anywhere. I hope all y'all up north are doing ok. I know how it is.

I wish you all the best in the Northeast! I would suggest that to those folks making smart a*# comments to these folks who are suffering to reflect back on this moment when your life turns upside down for what reason, then you will realize why you are getting the help you AREN'T getting. Karma can be a b*#@h!

Same stations are pumping this morning as of 1100 am. Governor said 28 million gallons entering NY Harbor this weekend so hopefully by Tuesday stations will be back to normal operations.
If anyone has family or friends in the Farmingdale,Massapequa,Levittown, or Bethpage area there is a clothing drive at Woodward Parkway Elementary School for the flood victims. 95 Woodward Parkway,Farmingdale NY. 10:00 am to 3 pm
Be safe and be well everyone and thank you for the well wishes.

that's terrible sad about that woman getting shot. People go crazy when they can't get gas. I saw this in action early in the gas shortage era. In Dallas in the early 80s was almost the same thing, you could get beat, possibly shot over a spot in a gas line. When people think they're going to run out and be afoot, they get plum scared, and things can go plum crazy in a heartbeat.

I know of 3 or 4 semi's loaded with food and water headed for out east from World Compassion Network, so help is on it's way. Also had 4 ambulance crews that just got back from there, they went to relieve some crews out east that had lost their own homes. I think they said 34 fire-ambulance crews from Ind. made the trip. 50-60 utility trucks also from Ind.-Ill. are out there filling in with extra help to get the lights on faster. That's the way it's always been, people helping people instead of waiting on the Gov't to get off their backsides.

If we waited for the govt to do anything we would still be reading by candle light and sending smoke signals. All the help is much appreciated. I know of a few diners who won't accept money from anyone that is helping out here and are making sure their bellys and thermoses are full when they head back out.

Managed to get gas at Valero on Main St. in Kings Park, they capped the limit at $50 (all I had was $40). They got 10,000 gallons in this morning, when I pulled the S10 into the station after waiting 2.5 hours, they said they would be closing in 45 minutes, lucky I got in line when I did I guess, 10,000 gallons of gas almost gone in a matter of hours .

im not in ny but heve been affected by the storm, just got power back on today. i have been going down to the unaffected areas in jersey. if you need fuel and can make it into jersey down to exit 7 on the turnpike, it is an option that i have been using.

sincere thank you to all the well wishers across the country

NW NJ many trees down, miracle nobody killed in my town. 9 days now with no power, lucky to have a woodstove. Morning shower is a bit nippy. Unsettling, but I do a lot of backpacking & camping so I can deal.

I went to Long Beach MS a few years ago, did some volunteer work after Katrina. From what I saw there, I am not complaining about anything. I met people who had been in FEMA trailers for four months. Met a woman there who had a refrigerated trailer of frozen chickens come to rest in her yard.

So glad to be so fortunate after storm. In my rural area it is a bit easier to get gas, waited in line behind 2 cars this morning.

getting slowly back to normal...went out curb shopping at lunch time and scored some loominum
