    Old Sharp Camcorder

I have an old Sharp Camcorder....the kind that news cameramen/woman would use.

Not sure on how old it is

It has a case and all the accessories (cords, battery, charger, etc).

ONLY issue is that it wont turn on. The battery is fully charged, but it wont turn on. Probably an easy fix, but I know nothing of them to do it.

Anyway, I checked on ebay, and there was a couple old camcorders that sold for close or over $1,000 but none were Sony.

I am trying to see if anyone on here might know what this thing might be worth, and if it is worth selling on ebay, local, etc.

George unless I'm mistaken that's just a regular VHS recorder from the 80s, 1500 to 2000 back in the day, I don't think it's a professional model but I may be wrong. I doubt there is any value unless you could part it out, someone may want the cords or something, I bought one when the girls were racing with a hard drive for a couple hundred bucks and I'm sure they are cheaper now, to be honest most phones today are better than the one I have, my advice shred it

I wasn't looking to get rich or anything. Thanks to my wife's family, I have become more and more into older stuff of anything.

If I had the space, I would probably sit on it for a while, but I don't so I will see if they know of anyone, and if not, probably trash it.

Yeah, I saw a few that did sell for real well, but no sharps. I will see what they say before wasting a spot on my account.

If it was mine, I would throw it up on eBay once or twice before scrapping it. I wouldn't think scrap value would be all that much, anyway. I always check items that I'm unsure of on eBay, before making a decision. I found an item a couple years in our local heavy trash pickup and had no idea what it was, but it had a 3 or 4 foot steel plate attached to a wooden handle, so I grabbed it for scrap. It set in my garage a few months before I hosed all the dust off and saw a name 'skiboggen' on it. A quick Google search showed that it was old and possibly worth something. I ended selling it on eBay for $360 plus S/H and sent it off to a buyer in Japan.
