    Yes but on your return policy you have the choice of selecting seller pays return shipping or buyer pays return shipping. I have it as buyer pays return shipping. That way theres no incentive to return. Also by the way on a full refund the original shipping is also returned to the buyer. If you return the item cost only and not the shipping that is a partial refund. The full refund is the better option it shows the customer you put them first from square 1.



    My policy is full refund within 30 days if unsatisfied for any reason, reguardless of whether i charged for shipping or it was included. Also the buyer always pays return shipping costs. If there is an error on my part like i shipped them the wrong item or it was damaged in shipping then i will also cover the return shipping costs.

    Someone gave you bad/incorrect information
    PayPal refunds FULL amount >> Item price + what is charged for shipping and handling

    So it does not matter what the split is
    If you roll the shipping cost into the item price for the FREE shipping
    Several advantages
    1. Better placement on the searches
    2. The cheap skates that want reduced shipping when they buy multiplies >> FREE is FREE << I don't discount FREE
    3. Auto 5 stars in the DSR stars

    eBay and PayPal both allow the Buyer to get a FULL refund for at least 45 days from the payment date
    FULL refund is item price + whatever was charged for shipping & handling

    That is why it is important as a Seller to open the unpaid item dispute on the non paying "Buyers"

    Open at day 4
    eBay will send them a reminder to pay
    Then 4 days after you opened the dispute >> Now at day 8 >> Close the dispute
    eBay will refund your final value fees and it is safe at that point to sell to someone else
    So, if I have a non-paying buyer for my auction I need to open a dispute? My question is that what happens on ebay's side? Do they put a black mark on the "buyer", because I've done this before and have not been able to leave any feedback (negative). Does opening the dispute accomplish the same goal? I basically want this person to not be allowed to bid if he's not going to pay.

    I think you can block buyers for unpaid items if i remember correctly. Its been a long time since i set my buyer requirements. But you can always black list users youve had bad experiences with. You can add usernames to your blocked buyer list. The new feedback system sucks the only feedback you can leave buyers is positive. But on unpaid items they wont be able to leave any feedback for you so that is a good thing.

    I had a non-payer and after notifying them and waiting my required 3 days (I mention this in every one of my ad's) then I opened the dispute. Ebay sends the buyer a notice that a dispute has been opened and I think you have to wait 5 days after. In my case after about 4 days my buyer paid for it so after ebay notified me, I shipped. I doublechecked to make sure that the buyer was not in one of the affected areas of the "superstorm".

    When you close the dispute neither party can leave Feed back
    If the "Buyer" has already left you a NEG >> eBay will remove it

    At that point the "Buyer" has an unpaid strike
    Sellers CAN (and should) block "Buyers" with 2 or more strikes

    That is why it is important for Sellers to open and close the unpaid dispute to give those "Buyers" strikes

    eBay never tells what number is
    and lets face it, they open another ID next day

    I sell tools, auto parts and car manuals
    Seems to be a low fraud area
    In the past couple years I have only had 1 Buyer I suspect lied to get a discount
    Shipped them a VW Jetta wheel
    They said it was too badly damaged to get the tire to seat
    This had not come off just any scrap car but my helpers car when the engine died
    So we knew the rims to be good
    I told him he could pay the return shipping for a full refund
    OR I would refund all but the $15.00 the wheel was worth to me in scrap
    He took the refund and left positive Feed Back

    So I was able to maintain my top rated seller status and the 20% discount that goes with it

    Wow am I mad, the guy with zero feedback won 2 auctions at$120 combined. Then I found out it was probably one of my friends screwing around because the address of the bidder was a mispelled version of my old work address.

    Just got done offering a second chance offer and reporting the account to ebay. Wait until I find out who did this. That was christmas gift money so now I my whole schedule is messed up!

    You can set the deals up with limitations like U.S. only, reviews ranking of 2-5 or better, and other factors. Those are for your security.

    If that goes unpaid, you can give them 2 unpaid item strikes and ebay will refund you the final value fees, you can also block that user id so they wont be able to bid in the future. If they leave any feedback it will be removed. Now if you know for sure that somone is messing with you that wont stop them because they will just open a new account and keep doing it. If that is the case then you need to change the name of your user id so it will be hard for them to track you down.

    No way to restrict a Buyer from bidding based on their Feed Back number unless it is a Negative number
