Sirscrapalot's return and the story beyond!

    Howdy Folks,

Been a bit since I posted, well longer then a bit..but eh..time flies when your cleaning up after a hurricane. lol. I shoulda posted this sooner I apologize for not having done so, I know some of ya folks were worried I apologize again for not getting back here promptly and letting ya folks know we made it thru safe and sound.

So..Hurricane and aftermath..Me, the wife, and the dogs made it safely through the storm. The beer didn't tho.

My sandbar had more damage then they had expected. Roads down near Cape Hatteras got washed out. I guess the ocean didn't like the rebuilt road from Irene last year. The beach road(road the runs along the ocean...) at the northend of my sandbar also got washed out in places in Kitty Hawk. Where I'm at on my sandbar weathered the storm just fine, tho the folks south of us in Hatteras and Ocracoke got hit hardest.

So my days have been filled since the storm..driving as far south as I can get before the road ends, and help my fellow sandbar souls in removing the debris, junk, scrap, etc left or ruined from the storm. My yards are busy bees thanks to the storm.

My thoughts to you folks up north who got hit a lot harder then us. Hope everyone who was in the path of the storm made it out safely and without loss of home, work, etc.

Anyhoo..I'm back. Consider this your warning.

Sirscrapalot - Still finding sand in his workshop.

PS - Thanks Bear for reminding me to post I'm back. :P
