I have a client out in Bristow VA that I am supposed to pick up a 1975 Clark 15D
forklift from. According to him, it weighs roughly 6,700lbs. Maybe a little less. He says the new one they just bought ways 6,700 and the old one idential, just a different model.
I have hauled plenty of cars and trucks, but none were that heavy. He said he might be off a few hundred lbs, but definitely in the 6,000+ range.
I was going to use my father in law's dully and our car trailer, but it is not running (just found out today) and I dont have time to get it looked at and repaired.
I have hauled a forklift in the past with a flatbed tow truck, but they went back on agreement at the very last minute, and took over $400 of the $600 we made off of it, and then my partner at the time and I only made $100 each. So not looking to get screwed all over again.
Basically I just need someone that I can call if my truck will not be able to haul it. You will just need a truck (preferablly dully but as long as you know you can haul it, that is fine) or a tow truck.
I am willing to do a 50/50 split.....or if you know anyone in the area looking to buy one (it works and it is propane), above scrap value, then I am opened to selling it to them, and either have them pickup or we can take it to them, and then you make a quick couple hundred.
Just shoot me an email. I will be at the place around 12pm, so if I need someone, I will be calling around 1pm or so.
Thanks.
