Ever notice how thread titles often have nothing to do with the actual topic?

Do you like tomatoes on your salad?

I saw that there was some pizza in the cafeteria. So... Do you have to be in a certain department, or is it for everyone?

I used to hate that when I'd go into chat rooms on AOL or Yahoo. They would have 42 topics in a particular area about everything from science to the football game. But everyone in there was was looking to "cyber" with each other.

firstly there needs to be a shout box on the front page, so people can express their feelings at the time
in a quick and visible way, so it's not in a thread.
a shout bot in a forum is great for communication to keep ticking over, like I might post, darn it's hot today,
the next guy might post, scored a couple great laptops today, next guy shouts, bloody freezing in canada today.
and so on, so it keeps ticking over on the front page, people get to express their emotions or just a statement of the day.

second thing I think is even bigger, and that's what this thread is about so.
there needs to be a forum law on how threads are titled.
opinions should be left out and just keep clear as to what the topic is.
not looking at any in particular, just the ones right now in the A Day in the Life of a Scrapper section

    here's the titles..

Another day at the yard....haha not really
    Unreal request
    Ahhhh, what a disappointment
    So Much Yellow!
    Good Week
    Flying theFlag Today
    Value of these boards
$3 investment and turning it into an easy $30+ return

these are nothing titles, merely opinons and statements that could be written in the first line of the actual post,
the're not searchable yet the posts within will probably have good info.
the looseness of the titles creates a looseness in the way people post things, almost like a competition of bill boards
to attract readers attention, sometime the title is longer then what they write in a post!
