    Not as graphic as I had hoped, need to speed that thing up. But none the less still pretty high on the yucky factor, I'd bet the smell would be pretty ripe bout the middle of July

    I wanna know what they DO with the shredded fish heads and parts? Do they become organic fertilizer?

    They probably shred them so the bones decompose faster for composting. Organics turn into compost faster when the peices are smaller.

    At least we didn't have to smell it. They use ground up fish to make chum out of it. For those that don't know what chum is, fishermen use it to atract fish by throwing it in the water.
