    R.I.P. Tom Petty 1950 - 2017

Sirscrapalot - Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There's not some trick involved with it. It's pure and it's real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things. - Tom Petty

I can't say just how happy I am to have missed out on being a urban "ute" and the dancing that comes with it. It's hard to believe just how old that video is and how much older I am than it. 73, Mike

Good band but of course I don't understand the lyrics then again have you ever listened to "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida"?

My wife is from Vietnam so I get to listen to her music and I enjoy some of it as well, still don't speak Vietnamese after just 37 years of being married. 73 and thanks for sharing. Mike

    Thanks Jimicrk.

I was referring to the fact that figuring out what the singer was saying was equal to my lack of understanding Vietnamese lyrics.

For those who don't know the original lyrics were "in the garden of Eden". The lead singer was far too drunk and/or high to sing it correctly so he sang "in a gadda da vida". The band decided that it sounded better or that no matter how drunk and/or high they got they could still sing it. 73, Mike

ps I was 15/16 years old when that song came out, I loved it then. Mike
