Got to see them play this live at the now Gone CBGB's on Bleeker And Bowery in NYC. The mosh pit was one of the best I was ever in. Yes I'm OLD.

    Quicksand Rocks too

And who could scrap without occasionally listening to to this classic Johnny Cash song

    In honor of Merle..

The irony of the lyrics an the fact he's singing with Willie, is priceless...

    More Merle and Willie!

    RIP Merle Haggard 1937 - 2016

Mama Tried - And I turned twenty-one in prison doing life without parole / No one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried / Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading I denied / That leaves only me to blame 'cause Mama tried

One of my favorite songs, Merle as a 20 year old inmate was motivated to learn to play guitar after seeing Johnny Cash perform for prisoners at San Quentin on New Years Day 1958. Merle's "Path to Success" was one from "The School of Hard Knocks". His life's lessons can be heard in his songs, no doubt one of the best story tellers as told in his songs.

As a tribute to Merle Haggard, School of Hard Knocks by Van Morrison

Any scrapper been educated by the "School of Hard Knocks"?

I got to see BB King play live at the Earth Day 1990 Free Concert in Central Park NYC. The B52s and Edie Brekell and the new Bohemians played that day too. What a day that was. I was tripping on enough psychedelics to make Timothy Leary's ghost jealous that day lol.
