Best portale scale for weighing items

I am seriously thinking of buying this...I been looking at one similar to this, but it was only 330lbs and $10 or so more expensive.

It would be for weighting packages that I mail out to customers, as well as getting ewaste shipments ready for sending out as well.

Also, it would be used for when I start to buy stuff as well from locals or abroad.

    Any thoughts?

Didnt notice it had one. I saw that though...kind of odd it would have 2 different weights.

    lol ok...what gives..

In this one, the picture says it has 150lb capacity but in the title, it says 330lb....The reviews for it are pretty good though.

I have that scale, and it works well for the price. I only use it to estimate heavier items for shipping. If you are going to be using a scale to be buying from the public, you will need to get a better one and have it certified by your county's weights and measures division.

Why is it not good enough for the public?

Mine at least is not consistent with weights. I can weigh, pull off the item, and weigh again and it changes. Although, it is not a big difference for shipping, it isn't completely accurate.

I wonder what good it is then, if it isnt accurate.

You got the 360lb one or the 330lb one?

The one i have is a 150lb/max...same manufacturer.

I pulled a deli scale out of a pile of electronics I bought awhile back and use that for weights up to 30lbs. Accurate up to 0.01/lb, but it's old and ugly!

Not sure what to do now....I need/want one, but don't want to waste any amount of money if they cant even be accurate.

Even though they cost a lot more, look at the professional grade scales that scrap yards use. You'll probably be glad you got one in the long run.

Not at that quite yet. Portable one is best for me. I went ahead and bought one. I know enough computer guys here (a few in my wife's family) that if it needs tweeking or whatever, they can handle it.

I have this one that I got when I bought a whole room at an auction for less then $10. Scrapped the metal in the room and kept the scale...I verify I had the same weight when I drop off at the Fedex Depot and it has never lied so far. Needs no power and has a lock on it when the box is too big to see the dial. Only goes to 100#'s but most packages sent out are less then 70#'s and if I'm weighing something heavier I divide it into smaller lots. It travels well too.

I say for that amount of lbs, it is a good deal.

I have one that looks just the one in Geo's first post. Whieghs to 360lbs, paid 40.00+10.00 shipping and it has worked good. I can whiegh something and then take it to the scrap yard and it will whiegh the same. I just today whieghed over 200lbs of steel on it with no problems.
