Run a 1979 3/4 Ton 4wd Chevy and a 1984 Chevy 3/4 ton 2wd drive. Why do I like em ? Cheap to own, and parts interchange without a lot of hassle for better part of 20 years, got a 350 I salvaged from a wrecked pickup in my 2wd right now.

2000 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 reg. cab long box
Salvaged from scrap last year. Paid 350$, the owner thought the computer was blown, turns out just back diff. speed sensor and put 3600$ in body and repairs. Different box, doors and new front fenders. 149000klms and running strong. hope to have 10+ years. Scrap metal paid for this truck, still can't beleive that.

Not a ford guy by any means but won't argue the point with you on this happy, although head problem were commonly asscoiated with the 300 I still think its a dam tough motor with plenty Of torque.
