    25 degrees in F.lorida REALLY ?

I didn't move to this state for this fricken crap. 3 days ago it was 85. Tomorrow it is supposed to get to 25 with snow.

Im like a gater the colder it gets the slower I move.

the bright side is we got 2 more loads of servers in and a load of switches..Just hope it warms up so I can get to them.

I have, now, about 5Million dollars worth of servers in my yard, most are in perfect working order problem is the scrap value is about $5000.

It never ceases to amaze me how a company can pay $600,000 for a machine and then sell it for .12 a lb in perfect working order.

O right I forgot they are government equipment, they didn't pay for them you/we did!

Well enjoyed a nice 50 degree day a week after a foot and a half of snow fell up here. Back to the 30's tomorrow

if most work, ever thought about reselling them as such? or is that prohibited in your contract?

some I can sell some I can't, problem is I have no way to test 300 lb sun servers, the IBMs are all custom built for a specific purpose. I have some parts on ebay just to see what happens.

Plus I have a partner that thinks because something sold for $600,000 new it should sell for at least $300,000 used. He really knows better but has a hoarders mental block.

If only that was true! However, like the old saying goes "A price is all dependent on what someone is willing to pay"

If you believe you could make some good money reselling the working units, I would definitely look into setting up something in order to test them.
