    Spring Time in the Rockies

Last week weather folks tell us big storm coming...baton down the hatches. All the schools close and hundreds of flights cancelled without measurable precipitation on the ground yet. Even with the ruler I use for fishing stories, we got about 4-5 inches.

Fast forward to this week with 2-4 inches predicted and we get a foot. Schools don't even bat an eye lash and only 25 flights cancelled. And I'm sure PTS is loving life trudging thru the snow today.

Tonight and into tomorrow now they are calling for 2-4 inches again so at this point I'm inviting the weatherman to take a hike, getting the firewood ready, gassing up the snow blower, stocking up on sun block and preparing for a BBQ.

Did however manage to grab a dryer at 6am this morning that someone posted on Clist late last night.

Sorry auminer but it sounded better then...

Spring time in a western suburb of Denver (technically considered a desert) and within 10 minutes of the Gateway to the Rockies.

    Just pokin' at you.

I'm in the Dallas metro area now, dreading the coming summer if today's measly 87 made me miserable.

Loved me some summertime in the Rockies!

Last month was the coldest month of march on record hear in florida, this month been breaking record highs. Went from winter to summer over night. High of 90 today where I live, Tampa-high of 92 and was still 90 at 7pm. Sure beats all that snow.

The traffic thru the I-70 Corridor has got pretty bad since you left...the hour commute getting home from the resorts can take hours now. And now they are expanding the tunnels by Idaho Springs so traffic is being diverted off the highway for a while now. The expansion has been needed for a while so I'm not sure we will even notice the improvement once it's done.
