    Scrap Metal article on StorageTreasures

Not sure if anyone would be interested in this or not, but Storage Treasures just did an article about boosting your storage auction profits by scrapping. I liked the part about "aluminum brokerage".

I also liked the $2-3 per lb. of brass, and $0.50 for electric motors while his/her scale ticket shows $0.25 per lb. And the new "aluminum solids" category. Just more proof that anyone can write anything about any subject, qualified or not.

eta. I guess I shouldn't get too annoyed. There -is- good basic advice in the article, mainly separate your metals, and some basic metals id. But writing to give the impression you are an expert and are giving the full benefit of your vast experience, when you're clearly not and are actually somewhat of a dimwit, is something I do find really annoying.

I gave it a read myself. Basic info as Zito stated. While reading it, I kept waiting for the "click here to see how I increased the value of my storage locker, and you can to...for 2 payments of 9.95..each!" the way she wrote the article, with all the bold type, and !! it came off like she was going to try and sell something.

I give it a half a thumbs up.

I knew he didn't know what he was talking about when he said to check the pots and pans with a magnet to seperate the steel ones and when I looked at the pic. of his aluminum I saw ss pans.
