So..there!
Sirscrapalot - Whiskey over beer makes you charge deer.
1 Kilogram = 2.2 Pounds. 1 Euro cent = 1.33 U.S. Cent (1 Euro = 1.33 US Dollars, opposingly, 1 dollar costs .78 Euro).
26 Euro cent per Kilo = 13 Euro cent per pound. You can do the real math, but 12 US cent per pound is right about there.
I live in Germany, the Powerhouse of the European Union. Today, I sold 140 Kilos of shred for .10 per kilo. = 14 Euro`s. And in the timeframe of the story, I was only getting .12 per kilo. Hmmm, shoulda drove over to Bosnia to sell my shred.
140kg x 2.2 = 308 pounds
140 Kg x .10 = 14 Euro. 14Euro x 1.33 exchange rate = 18.62 Dollars. 18.62 dollars divided by 308 pounds = .06 US Cent. per pound. That sucks!!!!!
What are you getting for shred today????
metal Detect around the tree before you Pee.!!!
.07 here in Oklahoma, .08 if I drive it over to TX side, but it's got to be enough to cover another couple gallons of gas and the extra mileage
I hear you on gas mileage Bear. I am not up to tons of scrap yet, and my shred is mostly by-product from computers. Just part-timing with my ford focus wagon.
What are your gas prices lately??? more math: 1 Liter regular is 1.55 Euro. 1liter x 3.74 liters to a gallon. 1.55 x 3.74 = 5.80 Euro. 5.80 Euro x $1.33 exchange rate = $7.71 per gallon.
So at 7-8 dollars a gallon just just starting the engine is a budgeting factor!
