    If you have no idea what is wrong with it why are you saying it is probably the motherboard? Giving people the impression it is a cheap fix will bite you in the ass when they find out it is not. Sell it as part not working and let the buyer figure out what is wrong with it.

    There are a couple kinds of people who buy newer broken laptops on ebay. Those that refurb them for a living and mostly swap parts with dead units they know what is wrong with them and those people who have no clue how to fix ANYTHING but are cheap and want to try it anyway (and they get pissed when they can't figure it out). The first type doesn't want to pay much but leaves you alone, the second type will bug the living hell out of you and might even want a refund.
