    Thieves in Detroit

Really? Come on, probably not the smartest thing to do, lol. If it only weighed 700-800#s you would only get 14-1600$ I wouldn't go to prison for that amount

By my observation the biggest crooks in Detroit have been those who have been in charge of the city for the past 75+ years. They have lost a huge amount of the population in part because of the higher and higher concentration of people you would not want to have as a neighbor. This leaves a higher concentration of actual theives and fewer cops to catch them. Mike.

Well just another reason for honest scrappers to get detained. I hope they find the people responsible for this and find out it was not scrappers that did it. We always get the short end of the stick.

We all need to keep our eyes open for suspicious activities and report it.

theres scrappers like us & theres scrappers who are junkies disguised as scrappers

we need money to bay bills & put food on the table & we use common sense when scrapping

they need money for drugs & they dont care what they steal or whom they steal from.

i live in a low income area & there lots of boys i know who are drug addicts who will steal ANYTHING -as long as they can make a bit of money from it.
one guy stole his neighbours puppy & sold it at a shopping centre down the road
another stole the washing from somebodys clothing line(including undies) ...
    the list goes on...

Reports like this should say that item was most likely stolen for it's scrap value not by scrappers.

I agree, probably some dumb people that think scrapping is easy and you can make a quick buck, I hope they get caught.
