A good, reliable walkie-talkie system for yard employees.....any suggestions?

The yard I work in issued us these little black and green Motorola radios that absolutely SUCK. They either won't charge,won't hold a charge or just refuse to work. They're pieces of junk!!
Any advice or recommendations are certainly appreciated. We're on a tight budget,so that's a concern as well. Looking for as much bang for the buck as possible. Thanks!

Basically, you get what you pay for. But you've already found that out. Can't really tell you much more than that. To get a good system will cost you.

Thanks, Mick. Were it up to me, I would've been the one to purchase radios-and it certainly wouldn't have been these!! Since I don't have that authority, all I can do is make recommendations and try to remedy the situation.
