The Buyer has 45 days from payment date to open a claim
In this case it would be a SNAD claim
    Significantly Not As Described
Ad indicated 2.2 but unit only had 2.0
Buyer would have to foot the bill for the return shipping
Then Buyer would get a FULL refund
Item price + what they paid for the original shipping & handling
Refund would be withdrawn from your Selling account once the Buyers DC showed delivery had been attempted
That is why I contacted ebay, and I recorded the conversation, just like they do with us. The rep told me that refunding him shipping and handling was my choice. I might be out the money he paid for the laptop (no big deal) but I will be darn if I will be out the shipping charges.

Anyway, all said and done, and it is over.

While worrying about this one item I could have listed 10 or 20 more

Good for you. (Mean that in the nicest way btw lol)

While I was on ebay, I came across my statistics. I have sold 46 items sold far, and made almost $1,600. Not bad, considering I have only been doing it since January, and primary listing scrap laptops along with a few computer accessories.

fact is, you are responsible for what your listing claims, whether you chose to lift the information from another persons listing or not, your listed item was misrepresented. You can blame it all on the other guy if you like, but still the fact remains, you are the one who started the ball rolling in the wrong direction in the first place.
It is best to test and research your own items and write your own listings

Here's the thing George. No matter what you do you can't prove yourself "right" on evilbay. If the buyer presses it evilbay WILL extract a refund from your Paypal account, no matter how in the right you are.

Glad that it worked out! When selling on ebay you might want to indicate that the pictures are part of the description and that they are the actual pictures of the item. Then put as little into the ad as possible and refer the potential buyer to the pictures.
