We had a similar problem a few years ago. One of our crew leaders tore down the right house, but also took down the ramshackle shed "in the back yard". It turned out to be the lawnmower shed for the house that was behind that one facing the other street. That was nothing that a brand new metal shed wouldn't fix.

Another odd one. After getting hurricane damage, a home on the beach in Panama City FL was scheduled for demolition. I went down to measure it to bid, but couldn't find it. Turns out it was STOLEN by a debris removal company that was getting paid by the ton for whatever they turned in to the landfill. Watch your car and hang on to your pets, they were getting everything that wasn't nailed down.....and some that was.

I spotted the culprit today on the SH75/I30 interchange here in the DFW metro.
