They are saying it's going to be most powerful hurricane to hit the Carolina's in 30 years. Joy. Cone for this thing goes a long ways in land. SC, NC, VA up to Richmond, Parts of freaking Kentucky will feel the wind, and rain. Heh.

Anyhoo...I got 2 days or so before it hits, so I'll be on randomly til then. Once it hits, I'll be online long as the internet/power last. When that goes I got a couple bottles of rum, a cool or 3 full of beverages, an plenty of Netflix downloaded to my Cell, wife's cell and Laptop, my kindle...I'm good to go. LOL.

Not a new rodeo for me, but still just as dangerous as all the rest. Anyone else in the path..Miked, among others I'm sure...stay safe, an we can compare notes after the storm.

Now...to go fix me a sandwich, walk the dogs, an go look for some seashells before the it all turns to ****.

I like to listen to people's stories.

To honor the day, and those who served, i spent some time with a 94 year old WW2 vet that served in the Pacific.

He's still does quite well but he won't live forever. I'll carry his story on to the next generation so that his service won't be forgotten.

Usually the only honest ones are the older folks. Fishermen and gamblers tend to be full of..stuff...but spin a good yarn even if it's 99% fake.

Good on you for taking the time to listen. Not many do these days, since you know...it's history. They don't realize it's living breathing, straight from the horses mouth history. Not the edited, an repackaged stuff they got in school.

I love nothing more then kicking back an listening to tales of the "old days", or "old war stories" from the people who actually lived it.

No insomnia here. I start my days early. Up at 3:30 A.M , check one of the places i caretake for at 6:45 , in to work by 7:30 A.M. and then finish up my work day at 6:00 PM.

Weird my last post vanished.

Anyhow...im alive. Fighting with isp. They seem to think advertising high speed internet an not providing such is a good thing. Me? Not so much. Ha

Had posted back at end of March the facemuncher that is in my avatar passed on 3/31. Was very unexpected. It's hard losing a friend, even a furry one. Layla guarded my cooler from a pup to when she passed.

Far as current happenings....ill save that for its own post.
