I liked watching football, and playing baseball, that was the extent of my (outdoor) sports ; ) In the 70s was Cowboys all the way, Roger Staubach and Tom Landry. Tony Dorset came along, was a good runner too, but turned not to be as good as he thought. Staubach had been pulverized so many times he finally had to step aside(which he did rather gracefully) Danny White was a great QB too(if you ever looked at his stats, he made the Pro-Bowl a number of times) but after Staubach left, and Dorset thought he WAS the team, it all fell apart sadly, and White took a beating.
I didn't watch much, and for a couple years mid 80s was working Sundays and Monday nights and only had a few minutes glimpse of the Superbowl (when someone would sneak a TV into the break room)
I had lost interest in Dallas and followed 49ers Montana for a few years(had seen him do some really great drives against Dallas in the 70s), but they dumped him, and I watched him in KC awhile, I guess after they drpped him, I no longer had much interest in any of it.
Mid 90s while living in Nashville they got a team named the Titans, which perked my interest for a while, had a great QB in Steve McNair. Their first year there they went (I think it was) to the Super Bowl, played the closest game it had ever seen, ONE YARD away from winning, really great game, even though they lost, they returned to Nashville as heros. Then Nashville started cutting the roster to pinch a few bucks, and dumped McNair, and didn't even try to draft Peyton Manning, which together pretty much turned me off of them.
I'd catch Mannings game occasionally but had largely lost much interest in the whole show.
I've been in Oklahoma for 6 years now, with 2 stations...PBS, and uhmmm, PBS, which has no Football, ohwell, I don't really miss it, I've got my memories ; )
