Why does Sirscrapalot prefer Cuervo Black over Patron....post your thoughts!

Inquiring minds need to know and Sirscrapalot said he would discuss this in another thread so here it is.
Post your answers to the question and see if he will enlighten us at the end.....All in fun and maybe we can give him a few chuckles like he does for us with his Sirscrapisms.
    I will start,

He prefers Cuervo over Patron since it wipes up easier after he spits it on the screen following a good laugh!

I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.” John Wayne-- The Shootist

One thought...it's cheaper. The shot will run $1-2 cheaper on average than patron. If he wants to buy a bottle, it's 1/2 the price of patron. Twice as much tequila, twice as much fun.

I think Don Julio is better than both of them

    Anything is better then Patron...

If you have to add Ice to tequila or any liquor before pouring a shot, it's not good liquor.

Patron is over hyped non-sense and over priced..10 bucks a shot, that stuff better be the bee's knees..which it isn't.

Don Julio is better. So are many other brands, but I live out on a sandbar currently, so my supply of good tequila is not so good.

You can mix Cuervo Black with cola if you want. It's not as..strong in smell or taste as every other tequila, an it's filtered like whiskey.

Patron is over played like a free donkey kong arcade game.

It taste's good, straight up, no training wheels.

That's just off the tip of my head, but I await further posts..so far I'm enjoying the thread. lol.

I like just about all tequila, but I truly hate Patron..like a kid hates Brussels Sprouts..

    Fun thread!

There is the world outside a bar, and a different world inside.

    Reasons for drinking Patron?

Because your date wants to see you spend money on her.

    To impress your drinking buddies

Because you are a follower, a sheeple, apathetic and have no backbone.

    Reasons for drinking Josie Ceurvo?

Smooth, mixed drinks it's cheaper and tastes the same.

After sitting down at the bar talking with Jose for a few drinks who cares.

Women that drink Jose, after a few drinks, will drink anything and more importantly do almost anything (girlfriend or wife are best)

    It is a pretty bottle!

When I worked for Unites Air Lines, I had a girlfriend that lived in a little village called Viaje De Guadalupe, her father grew agave for Jose Cuervo. He made his own sipping Tequillla. I sat with her father and brothers drinking or sipping this one night, and it ended up turning into two before I realized what happened. Ever since I only drink Jose. And sipping tequilla whenever I find it.

Side note, I used to get promotional items or perks selling Jose and Patron, but made more money on Patron, as a bar owner. So although personally I like Jose, I would tell the bartenders to sell Patron. And if someone insisted on buying a drink, I would pour Patron when I was working the bar, but Jose as a customer.

I have to agree that the filtering process gives quervo black a much more complex and richer flavor than Patron.

My experience with tequila has been limited but Cuervo Gold had been my preferred brand. I haven't had the opportunity to try the black version of Cuervo but I do enjoy a good sipping whisky(Maker's Mark) and sipping the Cuervo Gold. Perhaps I'll try the Cuervo Black once the Maker's Mark is gone. You guys descriptions have convinced me its worth the try. Mike.

Oh fear not..I love me some whiskey, tequila was just my example, but I enjoy both. Also a good scotch. The rest I enjoy..except vodka. Me and vodka are not friends, nor even pen pals.

I can neither confirm nor deny Tequila making clothes fall off.

Sirscrapalot - Thread of the week! Ya'll crack me up.

Tater- can be found sipping on crown n coke quite often. But as far as tequila goes, Jose is the best hands down.

Not sure "Complex" and Tequila belong in the same sentence. Back in the day it was Beam and 7 but a can or two was all you need for a 1.75 L.

Tequila is good if you drink the good ones, PTS. I admit it's not for everyone. I prefer mine without training wheels..you know..salt & lime. I leave that to the spring breakers. I did find an awesome tequila bar at off all place, Epcot at Disney World. They had like 50 different choices for all size pocketbooks, from the $4/5 a shot to as much as 85 per. Freaking crazy. I'll be visiting there next time we make the trip. lol.

I do enjoy a good scotch, an I mean good. Otherwise..whats the point?

An for the record..I prefer to sip my Tequila, whiskey, scotch, etc. Shots are fun now an then, but the full experience comes from enjoying the drink.
