Asking price is $20 plus shipping doesn't mean that's what hard boards are now worth. Seller not likely to sell any at that crazy price.

Only missing a little bit. In the bidding history five of the lots sold DID go for $20 per lb plus shipping. The rest of the 30 sold so far have gone for an undisclosed amount. They made offers that were accepted. However, that does not take away from the fact that some were sold at the original price. Sometimes people who want to start up refining need to get some higher grade boards and will pay more for them. I'm not sure if this is what's happening here, but it does seem like they are paying over double the going rate.

I was telling my wife about that one last night. I'd gone through "sort" real quick and put this in my "watch" along with others. There, it showed as "53 pounds of Hard Drive boards for $20". I went to put in a bid and saw the "Buy It Now". Then I told myself "This doesn't make any sense". That's when I saw the "sold by the pound". I wonder if those five sold got caught the same way. But I agree, I see stuff going for ridiculous amounts.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I think your may be correct, Mick. Some people do not take the time, to thoroughly read an item description, before clicking the mouse.

Obviously, they cannot be forum members ... or they would READ, READ, and READ again!

lol, I saw that auction, and read it a couple of times. I also thought to myself I could do this and people might be really stupid enough to buy what I have, lol. When I get enough inventory I will try this.
