Ideas on building a car hauler from a boat trailer

Picked up a 25' boat trailer tandem axles it go backed in to and bent a axle got to find a used one because a brand new one is pricey. It's no your ordinary trailer axle wish I can find a trailer junk yard. Any ways metal deck or wood? Also using it for reg scrap so need some what of side on it. And ideas would be great.

Have you checked with trailer places on an axle? I had a 3000lb one built new a few years ago for $150. They built mostly farm and hauling trailers I think it was. I've also noticed Tractor Supply and other farm stores have a decent assortment of axles at decent prices
