    Google image? What's that?

Quick google search and I know what it is now. Shows you how much I know about the internet.

Google images comes in handy, for instance some guy will screen shot an image of a treasure he found on craigslist asking forum members from a forum he belongs to what it's worth etc. Thinks he's smart uploading a screen shot to hide the url from the craigslist ad, while using google images anyone can soon locate the treasure and location and scoop the item while the first guy is probing forum members on value etc.

Using google images I have in the past found many of our own members using someone else's images claiming the goods shown to be their own. I frequently borrow an image as a facsimile never claiming the item to be my own and never hot link to someones images, always use a screen shot then repost the image so that I'm not stealing someones bandwidth.

On a side note, if I have to hand hold something to take a picture, I always make sure my fingers are positioned to conceal my prints. The technology we have today is truly amazing but all too often used for the wrong purposes.

When living in Houston Texas I used to hard core scrap. I found a 1700's beautiful organ. It was in perfect condition.

Lets see who the first person is that is able to find the location and asking price of this machine using google images.

You have to post a valid url as proof of finding the location.

Much too easy, hobo usually hot links to his images. Mouse over any image then copy and paste image url into a new browser window.

From this I have also found that many of our forum members no longer use photobucket and have migrated to postimage which in my opinion is much easier to use - no annoying pop up ads.

I use google for my goats. LOL.

Google is the one I use all the time. Yahoo search sucks...which is funny cause their owned by google. Bing is ok, but I still prefer Google. Tho I go to Bing if Google Image isn't finding what I'm looking for. Fun fact....I used to use google for my quotes. Now I just go straight to the source.

Alloy deserves the credit, he explained it.

@alloy2 - I also noticed that when searching images. Lots of people enjoy using pics from others. Kinda funny, kinda sad at times.

Yes he does use links sometimes and I'm afraid to click on them. Afraid I might get a pic of a goat in a black leather thong and a$$less chaps.

Wanna find more goats try this *.goat images google returns 653,000,000 hits versus goat images resulting in 126,000,000 hits, goat images with quotations a measly 49,000 hits.

Odd that this post popped up so timely.
I was breaking down a load of CD/DVD ROMs and said "What is inside that tray?"

Turns out someone jammed a Matador beef jerky package in there. Wonder why it didn't work anymore?
    Hmm Hmm Hmm.

I remember about 22 years ago spending 50 dollars to have our VCR repaired. My son was about 3 years old and had put several sucker sticks and a few candy wrappers inside.

Aren't kids grand, my buddy in Edmonton had a house with the gas furnace set into the floor, one day a huge kaboom. One of his boys had dropped a Bic lighter through the floor grate.

I was wondering why I haven't seen a Matador post yet...now I know why. Someone stuffed him in a CD/DVD rom!

    Sirscrapalot - Heh.
