Learned not to file a Workers Comp Claim....

Well I have been working through a temp agency for the past 2 months until I got hurt 3 weeks ago. The accident was not my fault and I stressed my rotator cup enough where I could not do the job for a week, their doctors orders. Of course I filed a claim with the temp agency and got paid one weeks workers comp payment, but when I was cleared by the doctor for work, it seems they have no work for me at all. I know this was a lie as I know several people who have been hired in the time they have been "looking" for work for me.

All I have learned is if you get hurt on the job, you make sure you get real hurt to continue to get paid by workers comp. Otherwise you are thrown away like a rag.

Scrap Yards call me crazy when I pull up with a ton of steel in my Saturn sl2.....

My wife went through about the same hassle and she was a full time employee with the State. Thankfully, she had income protection insurance. Still a big hassle.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Sounds like the employer is afraid you are looking for a meal ticket and they don't want to be the provider.

I understand that, but seeing as how I was cleared by the doctor after a quick recovery its not like Im looking for a free ticket. If I really wanted to I probably could have milked workers comp for several weeks but I like to work. Well I guess I always got scrapping lol.
