few years back when i was doing the road crew foremen thing for an on street advertising company we had a chev 2500 an 06 that was a gasser and a reg cab 1500 gasser that was a 09 and last but not least my truck was a 06 f350 reg cab long box power stroke. i towed a 20ft landscape trailer daily and a 30ft dump trash trailer. you want to talk about the difference in fuel its retarded. the gassers were 50-60 minimum more a day on fuel, the f350 was always braking down. lower end went twice and the head gasket was done once then it was leaking and went back in for another gasket on one side. that truck had tons of power, solid and i love the way it felt. BUTTTT at lest once a month or every other month it was at the dealer for atlest a week or two. with motor issues. now i'm not kiddin anyone we drove the crap out of those 3 trucks. that 1500 was the worst on fuel, the gmc 2500 was always having electrical issues and the ford needed a cummins.
now with my truck the cons are the front end wanders, they are hard on ball joints, the trannys are NFG, and seats suck.
PROs are its got a cummins lol. and i dont need air bags and its happier to tow then not to tow
