Speaking of candy... I Have a friend down in NC, and he had never heard of a Kit Kat bar, Aero bar or Coffee Crisp. Any of you folks heard of em? Or are they a canadian thing LOL

I'll let the kids candy alone. My guess is there will have to be a very substantial increase in gold prices before we see much, if any of it ; )

Kit Kat. Don't remember seeing the other two.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

The thing about Halloween is - We live way off the road and don't get any trick-or-treaters. But I buy several bags of candy every year, just in case. Wind up HAVING to eat the candy myself - every year. You'd think that at some point, I'd give up. We've only lived here 17 years and it's always the same. But I'd hate it if some kid came all the way up here and I didn't have any candy.

Gold isn't going anywhere fast, but you might as well get rid of the boards you have before it decides to drop some more down the road.

When I was young they used to give out the full sized bars (candy not gold), dumping a large bag full of candy on the counter after a long walk and sorting it was heaven, almost like counting currency. Then some meathead decided to put razor blades into the candy bars and the whole holiday went to hell for a while, now kids are stuck with teeny tiny squares barely the size of a bite.

Tradition here to dress up as Santa when our kids were young and still do it for the nieces ans nephews...gave out Kit Kats since they were one of the few back then that didn't have peanuts processed on the same machines and they became part of the tradition that goes back over 20 years.

The full size bars were awesome and even better was getting money. Some of the older people would give out nickels, dimes or if you were lucky quarters. I had a neighbor that would give my bothers and I a Kennedy half dollar every year. This was in mid to late 70's.I wonder how many silver dimes and quarters we wasted playing pinball at the bowling alley on Friday nites or buying More candy with what we hauled in from Halloween.
