    Aaaaand it starts- my most hated pickup item - metal reindeer

    I picked up 8 of them tonight! Eight!! And its not even Thanksgiving yet!



    ARRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

    What's wrong with metal ? Is everybody throwing the old metal ones away and buying some "new/Improved!" plastic ones now? ; )

    Do the legs stick out too far, are they hard to pack? Find some way to fold em up, maybe a couple long slim pipes you could fold the legs up fore ya load em ?

    Repair if possible with new lights maybe a touch of j-b weld and a dab of paint and sell them for way more than scrap value. They generally sell really well.

    reindeer get run over by my ranger and some plywood.
    there was a guy around here who had one mounted to the hood of his car but i haven't seen it in a long time

    Those frames are usually in 3 or 4 pieces and are held together with zip ties. Bring some side cutters with you and they come apart easy.

    When I find pre lit trees I just toss them in as I don't try and remove light strands anymore!

    Got a Christmas tree sillouette yesterday. Absolutely loaded with light strands - can't even see the frame. I think judicious use of a sawsall along key joints might help this come apart a bit better.

    Yea last year Home Depo and Lowes were giving $5.00 per strand turned in towards a new led light set! Not sure if they are doing this again this year...

    lol! Yes, they were in the garbage cans. it just seems I get SO many of those and they are bulky even with trying to stomp them down AND I hate pulling the light off!
