DUUUUUDE the turkey "Flipped Over" Turned out AWESOME. I had a lot riding on this one.. I think I did pretty well for my first time. One of the neighbors brought over some side dishes for us.. her husband had to work today.. we asked her to stay.. she did.. so I not only got to cook for my family, I also had a +1 there too! Thanks for the tip!

Thanksgiving was great here. We had invited all family and extended family with an open invitation and ended up with over 70 guests at my house today. With extra tables and some deciding to eat out on the porch, we had just enough seating. There was plenty of food especially dessert. My uncle did a small speech with serving instructions and a thank you to my wife and me for hosting. Another uncle said grace and we had a wonderful home cooked meal. Later the kids all played in the yard and jumped on the trampoline while teens and those of us who wish we were still teens played volleyball.

Some family members from different branches had never met before and it was great for them to get to know one another. Our dread of the clean up was relieved when everyone pitched in and knocked out that job real quick. Nothing broken in the house and nothing spilled on any good rugs. Our dog might weigh 10 or 15 lbs more though.

After most of the folks went home, several stayed on to play cards tonight and the game has just wound down. One aunt and cousin are staying the night because it's a long trip home. I'm about to go to bed tired, full and happy. Can't wait 'till next time. Happy Thanksgiving again all.

I Flipped the Bird as well Bear...came out good only problem was trying to flip it back over. Finally gave up and butchered it in the kitchen.

I just grabbed that sucka with two hands and wrastled it over like I was a tractor tire flippin!
(My first attempt with 2 spatulas failed miserably and I ended up wearing some of the juice "spashdown")

Thanks everybody, I'm sure glad you had good thanksgivings.
Flipping that bird is tough if it's falling apart. I'm guessing if it was cooked in one of those brown-in-bags, the bag could be tightened up real good to flip it with ; )
Mine was good too, both of em : D
