Anyone still use a flip phone?

I just got this phone from my parents who cleaned out their old electronic drawer. I was wondering if I was the only one who was still holding out with using a flip phone. I have the Samsung Rugby II.

    Anyone else?

I use the same phone. Only one in family without a smart phone. It must be three + years old, just guessing. All I know is we have gotten eight new smart phones since I started using it. In fact two in the family are asking for new smart phones for Christmas. Two things stop me from upgrading, the cost and the fact I have to find glasses to see the screen. Miss out on family texts, but if they want me to know they will call or email me. My hands are to big to text on this phone.

I use to be on the cutting edge of technology, now I want to be on the cutting edge of scrapping.

Yep, I still use a flip phone too. It doesn't do the internet or take pictures, but it does text. The best part is it receives scrap call which in turn puts money in my pocket!

Rolly open up that bad boy and post some pics. There will be some real nice shiny stuff inside. Its a motorola so it may even have one or two of the purple ic chips with the gold played top and legs.

Just got a smart phone over the summer and got rid of my envy 3. I have fingers like sausages so typing is a ***** but cant live without having the internet at my fingertips now.

I just got one a couple months ago, someone actually bought it for my birthday. A twenty dollar special from walmart, it was four years old when I took it off the shelf, an LG I believe, and promised double minutes for the life of the phone(however long that is). There's no good cell reception here anyway, that's why I let my old one go after moving back about 6 years ago, an old Nokia, it didn't even have the flip. I'd leave it turned off in the truck seat compartment in case I ever needed to make a 911 call

I'll admit I'm too cheap to go buy a smart phone and kept complaining to my parents I need a phone and they got me one of them prepaid ones. Something is better than nothing and until I'm willing to fork out the cash, I'll keep using it.

haha, waiting last night for my sis to drive in from AZ, she was about 60 miles off track. She thought the GPS was going goofy but followed it anyway, haha, sure enough, got there an hour later than expected. I told her of an article about a study of GPS vs maps, more people got lost following the trusty GPS than got lost following road map directions ; )

Flip Phones are Still Cool... Or That's What I Tell Myself.

I just got my dad a flip phone for father's day. There is actually more "updated" flip phones out there. An article I read recently said that Samsung is bringing back flip phones!

C'mon, you know you really want a great big phablet! Just think, you'll be able to input error-free texts, read your messages without your glasses, AND fit the map for your whole trip on the screen if you get one of these:

    My wife uses one.

An 180 bucks a month for a cell phone? I hope you had multiple lines. When I was with AT&T my bill wasn't even close to that for my smart phone. I now go with Net10, 50 a month, unlimited date, text, talk. An no stinking contract. Bring your own phone, etc etc. Just can't tether with the darn thing.

Before I got my smart phone, I used a flip trac phone an never had issues. Only switched cause it was a good deal. Once my contract was up, I was gone an never looked back. Then again I also get sim cards now really cheap. I also unlock phones, fix screens, etc. I love me cell phones an scrapping. Got me a nice Galaxy I'm debating on keeping for myself instead of selling.

Some times I love my smart phone others time I hate it..usually when it makes me feel dumb. LOL

I've still got my original flip phone. It'll hold a charge for 3 weeks, better than a lot of them.
