    Need Help With CB!

    Hey guys merry christmas!
    So im having trouble hooking up my cb radio to the antenna and really need some help! So the cb takes the larger style coax thats used for like ham radio antennas and such but the cb antenna takes the smaller style coax that you plug into tvs and such. How can i hook these up together? Is there a way that i could solder the two different coax cables together? Do you remember when we used to stick some wire into our tvs and then connect the other end to a coat hanger and make an antenna? Well do you think i could do sort of the same thing but instead of a coat hanger stick it in my actual antenna?
    Thanks alot guys im so confused! I havent been able to find anything on the internet either.

    There should be an adaptor for that. Make sure you tune your SWR' s or you will burn up the CB.

    It's not Radio Shack any more, it's Cell Phone Shack now. Read thru this Tony and if you have any more questions give me a PM as this is part of what I did for about 20 years. Proper mounting/grounding of the antenna and tuning the SWR will do the most for the radio.
    Just like proper tuning of your vehicle.
    To answer one of your questions, big difference in coaxes between tv and CB, CB coax has copper insides and has the proper OHM value for CB and Ham radios. TV coax usually has clad with alum. insides and a different OHM value. Do not have your radio tuned up until the antenna is properly taken care of. Check out these links;
