    Windows XP

I'm sure many of you already know this. Microsoft is going to discontinue support for Windows XP SP3 on April 8,2014. No more software, driver & security updates and bug fixes will be available after that date. At one point there were about 800 million computers running Windows XP, over 1/3 of the computers still in use run this OS. What does it mean for the e-scrapper? More computers being disposed of as they get upgraded? frustrated people trying to install a new OS on old computers with less than 1g ram?. Doesn't mean the computers will stop working but the hackers are already drooling, millions of potential targets.
Now would be the time to further build relationships with the computer repair shops, whether your buying or hauling away for free there's likely to be an influx of scrap computers as we move farther into 2014. For those of you selling working systems with XP get them sold now, values likely to drop later in the year.
For me I have 5 XP systems that I either use or take care of, guess its time for some upgrades.
As always good luck in all of your adventures, be safe, work smart.

As a driver I'm always sober, but my truck is always ready to get loaded
