    - 22 at the moment with wind chill of - 55. The governor of Minnesota called off school Monday and Tuesday last Saturday. He got grief for making the call so early, but he was right. Our governor did not make the same mistake, he let the individual schools decide. So what did all the schools do, canceled school. It took 20 minutes for the closures to scroll across the T.V. Good news - we have global warming to look forward to.

On a side note, did you know the group of scientist that got stuck in the ice were actually there to study global warming. Just a fact.

Presently at 9:00 AM EST here in My neck of the woods: -14 air temp, -41 Windchill.
I got a call from the maint guy on site- said the property owner and the office manager will not be coming in. We are under a RED travel advisory- which still means- only emergency personnel are allowed on the road- so no billable time today as I do not have keys to the part of the project I'm working on. Bummer! Or Blessing! Depending on perspective!
Kids are off, Wife's business has been closed- but she works from home so she is still putting in some time- Heh!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

Beautiful picture. We had 4 in. of snow on the ground before the blast. We did not get snow with the cold temps. so we only have to worry about drifts from the previous snow.

Its crazy how it varys from place to place. Down in the states that dont usualy get snow, such as NC, I have a friend there and when they get a dusting, schools are shut down. Even in a previous post, 1 inch an hour, thats nothing up where im from. But to others its a huge deal. We can get up to a foot an hour in really heavy squalls. Thats not too common but it happens. To the west of us we have lake huron and georgian bay, when cold air passes over the warmer lake, the clouds suck up a crap load of moisture and then dump snow once it hits land. Snow squall. Im sure a bunch of you guys have heard that term, maybe not some of the guys in the southern states though lol anyways, My area is right in its path. They call it the "snow belt" great for winter sports. Not so great for driving.

    Blizzard Warning in Northern Indiana
We got around 10 inches yesterday, on top of the 6-7 that we already had here. With the wind chill its -40 degrees at the moment. I spend the night in the hospital and had to have a cab come pick me up since everyone I know was stuck and unable to come pick me up....Looking forward to spring, and the cleanout's that come along with it . Hope everyone's been doing well, and for the those of you who are also dealing with this weather stay warm.
