Always love promotions from radioshack seeing as how I use to work there. This is a good way to get the misses something special, or even yourself.
Radioshack currently has a trade in program that ends Feb 28th. Trade in any old consumer electronic that weighs in under 5LBs and still works for $5 credit up to $25 per Drivers License during the promotion.
I was lazy and went to the local $1 store and purchased headphones from them that cost a buck each. Turned $5 into $25 within minutes. Of course I had my mother, father, girlfriend, 2 friends, and myself all do this.
Turned $30 into $150 and bought the misses a nice Bluetooth soundbar for the TV. The manager was so impressed on my technique she gave me $10 to go grab her some headsets lol.
You can also use the giftcard towards prepaid phone bills, as well as Kindle Fire cards which can be used for anything on amazon.
