    GPS apps on smartphones

    Hey gang,

Was wondering what y'all are using as an app on your smartphones for doing runs. If your not using Waze, i would highly encourage you too. As to using Waze, you can avoid traffic jams, construction and cops all by other wazers. Waze can be found absolutley free on the Apple Itunes store and the Google Play store.

Just wondering, what are some helpful apps thst you guys use?

Nothing with GPS enabled I can assure you. Sucks the life right out of my battery.

Only 2 apps I really use for work are Kitco for keeping track of metal prices, and the CL app. Other then that, nothing.

I need gps I have one in my van. Heh. Oh, I also use a Police Scanner App, because I like hearing them chit chat an busting people. lol. Yea..I'm a jerk.

I'd be interested tho also in hearing what folks use. Good topic OP, an not one I recall ever seeing discussed on here.

I always use the SMF app. Also instagram, Facebook, kijiji app, my banking app, and waze. Waze is a really good app

I'm rather partial to Rand McNally. If you watch those speed limit signs, you don't have to worry about the cops ; )

Haha, I forgot bout the SMF app. I have that, but I only use it to read, fat fingers make it hard to post. Stupid tiny keyboards. /mutter

An I can't read group messages with the app, or let folks in.

Share your apps folks, don't let T's thread down!

I use the GPS on my Samsung quite often, and found it to be pretty accurate. It does suck a lot of juice, but I leave it plugged into my cigarette lighter the whole time, so I usually end up with more juice in my phone than when I started out. I am going to have to look into the waze app (if it will work on the samsung galaxy II)

I use Craigslist, weather and Ebay App the most and the navigation that came on the Droid Razr...I think it's Google based and like the way it works and it's kind to the battery. I did not like the update though so I uninstalled it and blocked any further updates without permission.
